Almar Consulting places a Quantity Surveyor at the clients’ disposal. This experienced individual will take on the Project’s Construction Management in conformity with current legal regulations, and in particular with article 13 of Law 38/1999, enacted on November 5th, of the Ordenación de la Edificación (Town Planning Ordinances), Royal Decree 314/2006 of March 17th by which the Código Técnico de la Edificación (Technical Town Planning Code) it deals with is approved, and the the Royal Decree 1627/1997 enacted on October 24th which establishes minimum health and safety requirements for construction sites.
The Quantity Surveyor, who forms part of the Project Management Team, takes on the technical role of directing the material construction of the building and of supervising qualitatively and quantitatively, the construction and quality of what has been built.
The tasks of the Quantity Surveyor include:
Checking reception of construction products at the site and organising necessary tests and trials.
Directing construction of the project and checking the stake out, the materials, the building itself and the correct placement of construction elements and facilities in accordance with the project and the Construction Manager’s orders.
Recording precise instructions in the Building Site Diary.
Signing the Readiness for Construction document or the Certificate of Commencement of work, and the Certificate of Completion; writing and signing the partial certificates and the final settlement of the work units executed.
Collaborating with the other agents in writing the Completion document, including results of the inspection carried out.
