Almar launches a new social project and creates Spain’s first women’s parasurfing team

Almar Consulting is once again supporting sport, inclusion, and female empowerment by backing the creation of Spain’s first women’s parasurfing team.

Featuring Audrey Pascual and four other young female athletes with disabilities, this new team aims to compete at the highest level in national and international competitions. The initiative will help raise awareness of the realities faced by women in this type of sport and promote equal opportunities and recognition alongside the men’s categories.

To officially present the women’s surfing team, an event will be held on August 23 in Somo, Santander. Fundación También, which founded and has been the main driving force behind the project; Almar, represented by José Luis Miró; the Cantabrian Surfing Foundation; and the five athletes who make up the team will all be there to welcome anyone wishing to enjoy a day of surfing and fun.

Local media have also been invited to the event, where Marta Hazas will serve as the team’s ambassador. The occasion promises to be a great day at the beach, combining surfing and fun in equal measure.
