Corporate social responsibility

For more than a decade, Almar Consulting has been actively and voluntarily involved with Colabora Birmania, an NGO dedicated to improving the living conditions of the Burmese population displaced on the border with Thailand. Our collaboration has focused on the development of educational, health, and community integration projects, directly contributing to the well-being of hundreds of children and families.

In 2024, to mark the NGO's 15th anniversary, a charity gala was held in Madrid, marking a new milestone in this commitment to solidarity. Thanks to the joint efforts of collaborators, volunteers, and partner companies, €97,000 was raised for the construction of the girls' wing of the Heavenly Home orphanage, as well as for the schooling of 228 children, guaranteeing their access to education.

Our relationship with Colabora Birmania dates back to 2011, and among the most significant actions is the financing and implementation in 2019 of a medical dispensary and a food warehouse at the Safe Haven orphanage, where 12 volunteers from Almar Consulting traveled to participate in the work on the ground.

Since then, we have continued to support the orphanage's maintenance programs and have promoted initiatives such as “La Huella Verde” (The Green Footprint), aimed at fundraising and raising social awareness.

In 2020, we also successfully completed, in collaboration with LaLiga de Fútbol Profesional, the construction of a soccer field in the Mae Sot area, which allows more than ten local schools to organize their own school league, promoting sports, inclusion, and teamwork values among children.

This ongoing commitment to Colabora Birmania is an essential part of Almar Consulting's DNA and reflects our dedication to generating a positive and lasting social impact beyond the business sphere.

In 2024, we also carried out a charity expedition to Nepal, where we delivered technical mountain equipment to the most needy adults and children in the Khumde and Khumjum camps.

TECHO is a foundation that aims to acquire and manage housing for people at high risk of social exclusion (homeless people, refugees, victims of violence, etc.) or with limited financial resources. This initiative brings together investors, professionals, social entities, and beneficiaries.

As a patron and founder of TECHO, in 2024 we celebrated its IPO, consolidating this innovative model of supervised housing as an effective solution against residential exclusion. More than 1,500 people have been housed, of whom 284 have achieved full independence. In addition, 60% of residents are under 30 years of age, and the economic and social impact of the model is highly efficient.

Since 2021, Almar Consulting has been supporting the sporting career of Audrey Pascual, a promising young adaptive alpine skier who embodies values such as perseverance, consistency, and talent. At just 19 years old, Audrey has established herself as one of the leading figures in inclusive sports at the international level.

In 2024, she achieved a historic milestone by winning the Crystal Globe in the Super-G category, crowning herself the world's best in this discipline of the Adaptive Alpine Skiing World Cup. This recognition rewards her consistency and excellence in a season marked by her extremely high competitive level.

Her 2024 record also includes:

• Runner-up in the World Cup Slalom, with 2 gold, 8 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

• 9 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medals in the European Cup.

• 15 gold medals in the Spanish Cups.

• 7 gold and 1 silver medals in the Spanish Championships.

Audrey combines skiing with other disciplines such as swimming and adapted surfing, a sport in which she has also excelled this year: she was crowned world champion at the ISA World Parasurfing Championship 2024 in California, leading the first national women's parasurfing team, also supported by Almar Consulting.

In this competition, her teammates Paloma Oñate and Mireia Cabañés also won silver medals in their respective categories. Our common goal remains firm: to support Audrey Pascual on her journey to the 2026 Milan-Cortina Paralympic Games, accompanying her in every challenge with the conviction that sport is a driving force for inspiration, inclusion, and social transformation.

Since the 2021 season, Almar Consulting has incorporated sponsorship of the Monitor Ski School into its CSR activities. This project strengthens our commitment to the development of sport and culture, and we contribute to this goal by becoming official sponsors of the Monitor Mountain Sports ski school in Baqueira.

The Monitor Mountain Sports school, located in the Aran Valley, is a school geared towards all levels of skiing and supported by great mountain professionals. It offers quality training and enormous values to its students, who, with the help of Almar Consulting, are now able to grow and launch solidarity programs to integrate young people from the area, both in sports and in professional opportunities. During the summer season, mountain sports are promoted with activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and trails, giving us a presence in the valley throughout the year.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, in 2024 we continued with the reforestation project in the Aran Valley, in collaboration with Bosques Sostenibles. 450 black pines were planted, contributing to an estimated reduction of 110 tons of CO₂ per year.

We have also strengthened our environmental volunteering activities by participating in the “Clean Rivers – Save Oceans” initiative, in collaboration with the ECOALF Foundation, which aims to collect waste to restore river environments and raise awareness about protecting the aquatic ecosystem.
