Hotel Rio Park MedPlaya, Benidorm
The Hotel Rio Park MedPlaya in Benidorm, Alicante, was developed in accordance with BREEAM® New Construction (NC) certification criteria, integrating sustainability, efficiency and comfort in a high-density tourist setting.
The project incorporated advanced energy-saving, lighting control and water-management systems, optimising resource use and reducing environmental impact. Bioclimatic design criteria were also applied to improve thermal comfort and indoor air quality.
Almar Consulting supported the certification process as technical consultant, ensuring the correct application of BREEAM® standards and coordination between the design and construction teams.
