Xucla Religious Buildings to Residential Conversion

Located in the heart of Barcelona, the project transformed two former religious buildings into a 28-home residential complex arranged around a landscaped central courtyard that organises the entire development.

The work placed particular emphasis on restoring the buildings’ presence within their surroundings, retaining their original character and respecting the features that define their architectural identity through a refurbishment grounded in the value of the existing fabric.

Almar Consulting contributed to the management and coordination of the project, supporting the process to ensure the right balance between heritage conservation and adaptation to a new residential use.
