UAX University Campus in Oviedo
Almar Consulting provided Project Management, construction management and technical support to the site team, coordinating all stakeholders and ensuring compliance with the project’s technical, budget and programme requirements.
Delivered under a turnkey model, the project involved refurbishing and adapting Oviedo’s former Buenavista Complex to create a new teaching facility for Alfonso X el Sabio University (UAX). The scheme has brought a disused property back into use and tailored it to the needs of a modern, specialist university campus.
The new building will provide spaces for training future psychology professionals, along with dedicated areas for practical work in dental prosthetics, complementing the university’s dental education offering. The project is particularly complex from both a technical and functional perspective, bringing teaching programmes from different disciplines together in one building while ensuring operational compatibility and the effective performance of every space.
